Bricks and Pixels

Privacy

Last updated 14 October 2026. Plain English first, then the detail. This notice covers visitors to this website and anyone who sends us the form. If we contacted you about a website we made for your business, our privacy notice for businesses we research applies instead.

The short version

If you fill in our form we get your business name, what you do, your town, your name, your email and, if you give them, your phone number and current website. We use those to build your free homepage preview and send you the link, and to talk to you about it if you reply. We don't add you to a mailing list, sell your details or share them with anyone except the services that deliver the form to our inbox.

Who we are

Bricks and Pixels Ltd is the data controller for this website and its form. Registered in England and Wales, company number 17499294. Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ. Trading address: 90 Front Street, Slip End, Luton LU1 4BS. ICO registration number ZC266933. Contact: [email protected].

What we collect and why

Form details, as above, to build and send your preview (our legitimate interest in responding to your request, and taking steps at your request before any contract). Anything you send us by email, to reply to you. This site does not set analytics or advertising cookies.

Visitor statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read, so we can improve the site. It does not use cookies, it does not identify you, and the statistics are not shared with anyone. If you would rather not be counted, use the button below. It saves a small note in your browser so we remember your choice. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, you are never counted.

Where it goes

The form is handled by our own form service, which runs on Cloudflare. It uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check the form is sent by a person rather than a bot, keeps a copy of your enquiry for up to 400 days, and sends the enquiry to our inbox, and a short confirmation to you, through the email service Resend. Your details are then held in our email and working files while we build your preview and for up to 12 months afterwards so we can pick the conversation back up, after which we delete them unless you have become a customer.

Our website chat assistant

Our website has a chat assistant. It is an AI, not a person, and it answers from the information on this website.

What we collect. What you type in the chat, its replies, and the date and time. If you choose to give them, your name, your business name, your email address, and optionally your phone number and current website, so that Adam can reply to you. You do not have to give any details to use the chat. Please do not type sensitive personal information, payment details or passwords into it.

Why. To answer your questions, to pass your enquiry to Adam when you ask us to or when the assistant cannot help, and to check and improve the assistant's answers. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries about our services, and, where you ask us about buying, taking steps at your request before a contract.

Who handles it for us.

Transfers outside the UK. Anthropic, Cloudflare and Resend may process the information in the United States. Anthropic's data processing terms use the European Commission's standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum issued by the Information Commissioner. Cloudflare and Resend rely on the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and their data processing terms also include the standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum.

How long we keep it. Chat conversations, with any details you gave in them, are deleted automatically after 90 days. A handover email we receive is kept like our other enquiries: for up to 12 months, after which we delete it unless you have become a customer.

Your rights. The rights described in this notice apply to the chat too. To ask about or delete a conversation, email [email protected] and tell us roughly when you used the chat.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to us using it, at any time, by emailing the address above. We normally reply within one month and there is no charge.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, email [email protected]. We acknowledge a data protection complaint within 30 days, look into it and tell you the outcome. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. You do not need our permission to contact the ICO.

Previews we made for your business

Want a preview we made for your business removed? Email [email protected] and we take it down straight away.
